We are ROARRing in Year 4!
In Year 4, we know that Parents/Carers are very important in ensuring that the children enjoy a successful learning experience.  We know that by working together we can equip our children with the skills, attitude and knowledge to make the most of their time with us.

Supporting your child with Reading, spellings and times tables are ways in which you can really help their progress.  Children are encouraged to read at home at least three times a week.  Spellings will be sent home on a Thursday and their test will take place the following week.

PE - These sessions will take place on a Monday and a Wednesday.  Please ensure that the children bring in something warm to wear on a Monday as PE will take place outside.

Rotten Romans
During the Autumn term, our learning was centred around 'Rotten Romans'.  In English the children created leaflets, wrote a story, a poem and even sent an email to another member of staff applying for a position in the Roman Army!  The children also created fantastic sketches of the 'Mona Lisa'.
Raging Rivers
The children are enjoying learning about Raging Rivers.  They have already completed an amazing non-chronological report on the River Loire, they have produced a fantastic Newspaper report  based upon the flood of 'Noah's Ark' and they also composed amazing performance poems based on 'Gran Can You Rap!'  The children are currently writing their own story by innovating 'Noah's Ark.'  In our topic learning, they have learnt about the features of rivers, why rivers flood, and have painted a beautiful water colour based upon Monet.
