Year 3 Home Learning Week One

Year 3 Home Learning

Like many normal school days, there are four different activities that the children will have to undertake. In the morning, there will be the expectation of completing both an ERIC (Everyone Reading In Class) and English activity and in the afternoon, it would be great if the children could complete the Maths and Topic activities. These can be supported but independence will be encouraged. That said, we have tried to provide you with as much support as possible in terms of maths answers and example sheets so we really hope that these help!

Please see the timetable below!

Just like in school, please encourage your child to ROARR if they are faced with a challenging piece of learning - thank you in advance, we really do appreciate the support!

ERIC

English

All of the activities below can be written straight into the children's books. We have tried to provide as much guidance and support with them as possible. However, we do find that the internet is a great resource to help you if you are feeling challenged with any of these but just remember - try your hardest to form your letters neatly and also to ROARR!

Maths

Please can all of the maths problems be copied straight into the children's books, making sure number formation is very clear! With the word problems, the children can simply write the answers down, but again, ensuring the correct number operation (addition, subtraction, multiplication or division) is used.

The answers have been provided so please can the children either check these themselves or can you please go through and mark them (thank you in advance!)

Topic

All of the activities below are linked to our new topic of 'World War Two'. We have planned them so that they can be written straight into the children's books. and have tried to provide as much guidance and support with them as possible. However, we do find that the internet is a great resource to help you if you are feeling challenged with any of these but just remember - try your hardest to form your letters neatly and also to ROARR!

Remember: You are the researcher for Monday's and Tuesday's activities so will need to use the internet to complete them!
