We are seeking to appoint an excellent SENDCo to join the school in September 2020 . We are looking for candidates to join the school who have the desire and skills to lead and develop high quality provision for the pupils at the school.
You will need to be able to:
· Guide and support staff by working alongside them modelling effective teaching strategies ensuring good outcomes for their pupils.
· Be responsible for the day to day operation of the SEN policy and co-ordination of specific provision to support individual pupils with SEN or a disability.
. Have good communication skills being empathetic in supporting pupils, parents and members of staff.
· Co-ordinate the work of outside agencies and therapist in supporting our most complex children’s need.
. Have an excellent understanding of the SEN Code of Practice & Primary Curriculum being able to complete the required referrals and statutory assessment paperwork.
. Be well organised, able to prioritise and work effectively to deadlines.
. Either hold the National SENDCo award or be willing to complete it within 2 years of appointment.
.Be a member of the SLT helping guide and shape the future direction of the school.
