 Autumn Term 2

For our topic this term we will be continuing ‘Where my wellies take me’. Weather depending, we are hoping to get the children out exploring our local area, wearing wellies if the children have them.

Our topic books for this term include Jack and the Beanstalk and Going on an Egg Hunt. Our activities and learning objectives will be based around these stories.

We will continue the children’s understanding of numbers and shapes through hands on activities and adult – led games.

The children will be split into small groups for BLAST (speech & language programme) and phonics.

RSPB

We are working towards our bronze award with the RSPB. We have had a visit from the RSPB where the children were encouraged to explore their local surroundings. The children were encouraged to use their senses to look for different colours and textures. Some children were very excited to find a snail.

Currently we are looking at the weather and completing a weather chart. The children have discussed the best way to dress appropriately for cold and wet weather.
